In my heart you became a symbol of peace, stepping with ease into the huge culturally different shoes of Mama Ukehe. Amidst your towering career achievements, you found time to be there for us (Ukehe people). When politics and unbridled capitalism continually threaten to tear Ukehe further into shreds, you still found time to open you palatial gates and host us to community building parties in such cullinary elegance that had a way of washing acrimony away.

Aunti Oby, you quickly left the role you have so well imbibed, the examplary mother, wife, judge, activist and model of humility and peace, qualities we desperately need in today's deprived Ukehe and the world in general. You may not know because I never got to tell you how you changed a lot of my out look in marriage when the last time I talked with you, you had told me its futile trying to take up a siblings place as a spouse.
